Landry was born January 21, 1997, in Irving, Texas to Tammy Hopkins and Clay Hopkins. He was an honor graduate at Lamar High School in Arlington. He was an honors college student at the University of North Texas. At his passing he was the Campus Leader of the After School Program at Wellington Elementary in Flower Mound, Texas.
From birth Landry was a “ladies’ man”. He was surrounded by women. Landry grew up with a tribe of women, dragging him to musicals, pedicures, the movies, and marathon “Black Friday” shopping. He endured it with some grace. His passion was cooking and baking. He had an amazing knack of getting batter on the blinds, using every single bowl, pot, pan, and utensil in the kitchen. And of course, he didn’t clean it up. Landry had an extended palette thanks to his mother bribing him with money to try new foods. What started out at $1 a taste, expanded to $20 to try an oyster! He traveled the world thanks to the many family trips to Epcot! He smiled every time he entered a room, and his family and friends will miss him more than can ever be expressed.
Landry is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, David and Betty Jean Hopkins, and his great uncles, Jim Larkin, Rick Larkin, and Jim Moore.
Survivors: Loving mother, Tammy Hopkins of Bonham; devoted father, Clay Hopkins of Grapevine; sister, Katherine Brown and her husband, Chris of Frisco; grandparents, Pam Moore of Fort Worth, and Wayne and Brenda Moore of Bonham; aunt, Kim Warren and Alfonso Miranda; great aunt, Kay Moore; great uncle and aunt, Chuck and April Moore; great uncle, Ron Moore; great aunts, Yoli Larkin, and Norma Larkin; great uncle, Marty Larkin, great aunt and uncle, Tina and Wes Horn; cousins, Trevin Warren, Caroline Warren, Santi and Jessie Miranda; many loving family members, friends, students, and coworkers; and his faithful companion dog, Bear.
