Chris Murphy

Chris Murphy (61) passed away July 30th, 2022 surrounded by family.

Celebration of Life Service:  Wednesday, August 3rd from 4 to 6 pm at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook, Texas 76126.

Chris was born in England to Franklin and Janet Murphy in December of 1960. After growing up abroad, he moved to Fort Worth during his early years and adjusted to a Texan way of living. He attended Western Hills High School and then attended and graduated from the University of North Texas. While Chris attended UNT he was an active member of the Delta Epsilon chapter of PIKE. These fond memories inspired his daughter to follow in his footsteps of being an active member of Greek life at the University of North Texas. After graduating with his degree in Criminal Justice, he worked for Tarrant County as a probation officer during most of his career. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed spending time with his buddies, coaching his daughter’s soccer team and being a father. Chris was a truly loyal friend and someone you could count on to always have your back.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Janet Murphy.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 32 years, Barbara Murphy; daughter Brandi Noack, grandson Byron Noack; daughter Emily Hacker and husband Joe Hacker. As well as all those who called him a friend.
