William Wood

FORT WORTH -- William (Bill) A. Wood was born Jan. 19, 1930 in Seminole, Okla. and made his transition on Dec. 1, 2016.
Memorial Service: 1:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 9, 2016 at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Alzheimer's Association.
Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa. In addition to his love of family, he was a lifelong Methodist, he loved his cats, he could fix anything, and in earlier years enjoyed traveling the world. He worked as an engineer in the production department for Texaco Oil Company for 33 years. He and his late wife Donna enjoyed most of their retirement years in Kingfisher Oklahoma as part of almost 63 years together. He was always eager to “pitch in” for getting things done large and small. He was always a great supporter for everyone in his sphere.
His family sends him on to Heaven in love and peace.
Bill is survived by his sister, Walsa Akright; children, Philip (Judy) Wood, Beth (Tom) Burdenski, and David (Nena) Wood. He has five grandchildren; and one great grandson; as well as three step-grandchildren and six step-great grandchildren.
