Thomas Alexander Lake Jr., 81, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022.
Tom was born December 5, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri to Thomas Alexander Lake Sr. and Jean Anderson Lake and grew up in Parkville, Missouri. He graduated from Park Hill High School in 1958 and earned his certification in metal fabrication.
After moving to Texas, Tom worked in a cement plant before starting his own metal fabrication company called TALCO Metal Fabrication. Tom’s skill in metalworks can be seen in numerous buildings, boat docks, and Chicken Express storefronts in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and beyond.
When not relaxing on his boat at Eagle Mountain Lake, Tom was an avid sports car enthusiast. He owned numerous Corvettes and was an active member of the Corvette Club in Fort Worth.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Judy Martin, and Donna Carr.
He is survived by twin sisters, Barb Clifton, and husband, Bob, and Bonnie Roller, and husband, Bob; his four children, Ted Lake, Jaime Lake, Tim Lake, and Kimberly Flores; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Tom will be greatly missed by his many friends and neighbors with whom he always shared spirited conversation.
