Saundra "Kay" Hadley Wolters, 73, was called home on December 25, 2017.
Graveside services: 12:00 p.m., Friday in Everman Cemetery, 900 E. Enon Everman, Texas. Visitation: 10 to 11:00 a.m., Friday at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook 76126.
Memorials: The family requests that any memorials be made to the Humane Society of North Texas or the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
Kay was born Dec. 21, 1944 in Fort Worth. She graduated from Everman High School in 1963, and later received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from Texas Wesleyan University. Kay worked as a life skills instructor for Johnson and Somervell Counties Supervision department, and as a teacher for Cleburne ISD and Joshua ISD. She had such a passion for students that she continued teaching at Sylvan Learning Center even after she retired. When she was not teaching she enjoyed art, gardening, reading, and her pets. She loved her family most of all.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Mrs. Wolters' extended family of caregivers at Colonial Gardens Care Center of Fort Worth and Encompass Hospice.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Frances Hadley of Benbrook; her niece, Angela Rhea Williams and husband David of Godley, and their sons, Taylor and Zachary; and her nephew, William Todd Hadley and wife Amanda of Godley, and their children, Drake, Jett and Tyler.
