Samuel Louis Kalil III, 38, fell asleep in the Lord on February 22, 2018.
Requiem Mass: 10:30 a.m., Monday at St. Peter Orthodox Church, 7601 Bellaire Drive South, Fort Worth 76132. Visitation: 5 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook 76126. Burial: 1:30 p.m., Emerald Hills Memorial Park, 500 Sublett Road, Kennedale 76060.

Sammy was born Sept. 5, 1979 in Fort Worth. He was a member of St. Peter Orthodox Church and was President of Entrees on Trays. Sammy was a 1998 graduate of Arlington Heights High School and attended Texas Tech where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta. Sammy was a very outgoing and friendly person with a big personality. It was often said he could "own a room" within 30 minutes of entering. Sammy loved the outdoors, whether it be golfing, rock climbing, hunting, fishing, etc. He volunteered as camp counselor at Camp St. Raphael in Tulsa, Okla., and he worked for his family's business, Entrees on Trays. His sister, Cassie, described Sammy as the "Best Big Brother". Sammy exemplified unconditional friendship and love, but his greatest attribute was his love for his son, Sammy.
Sammy was preceded in death by grandfathers, Robert Kelley and Samuel Kalil Sr.; grandmother, Gladys Kalil; and uncle, Robert Hall.
Survivors: His precious son, Sammy Kalil; parents, Sam and Pam Kalil; sister, Cassie Kalil; grandmother, Kathryn Kelley; aunt, Norma Jean Hall; cousins, Bobby Hall (Brenda), Susan Hall, Ronny Hall, Judy Roscoe (Michael); second cousins, B.J. Hall (Taylor), Luke Hall (Allison), Trey Hamilton (Amber), Jonathan Britch, Danielle Kessler (Bryan), and Sydnie Evans (Clayton); mother of his son, Jennifer Homsey; and many other loving relatives and friends.
