It is with great sadness that we announce that Ramiro (Ram) Sandoval Fernandez, age 78, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 10, 2025.

Ram was born November 19, 1946 in Breckenridge, Texas, to Prospero Sandoval Fernandez and Antonia Sandoval. He proudly served in the U.S. Army, receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Marksman. He married Connie Fernandez on June 22, 1968. After his military service he worked for Lockheed Martin and retired after 32 years of service. 

Ram was a devoted husband and loving father with a passion for helping his loved ones. He was a follower of Jesus Christ, the biggest fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and he loved music.

He is survived by his wife, Connie; daughter, Beckie; sons, Ramiro Jr. (Rugs) and Ronnie (Tiger); grandsons, Patrick, Jordan, Dalton, and Trent; and many brothers, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Ram touched are invited to his viewing at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook, Texas 76126, from 6-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. His graveside service with military honors will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Dallas, Texas 75211. (Please arrive at the cemetery at 9:45 a.m., and line up in Lane 1.)
