Patsy Diffee

Patsy G. Diffee, 78, passed from this life to glory on November 4, 2019.

Memorial service: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 11452 FM 2331, Godley, Texas 76044.

Patsy G. Diffee was born in Montague County on May 20, 1941 to parents, Elmer and Opal Gillaspia. She grew up in Kennedale and Bowie. In 1958 she graduated from Bowie High School, then married "Butch" Diffee. She had four beautiful children and spent her life being a wife and mother. Being a "bookworm", she was soon thrust into service as a recreation softball coach. She led her team to the All Stars by memorizing the rule book. This led to a lifelong love of the sport.

Family times included everything from dinner to water gun fights at her home. While raising her children she managed to attain a college degree and started working at the City of Fort Worth. She eventually achieved senior buyer status, retiring years later. Her retirement years were spent attending and cheering on grandchildren at sporting events, recitals, etc. She loved her children and grandchildren, heaping love and care on each in good and bad times.

Patsy had an independent spirit and loved to travel and meet new friends. She met challenges head on with determination that a solution would be found. She had an open heart for those who bore similar situations she encountered. She was gracious and generous beyond compare. Her family has been blessed that God would give them such a wonderful person to lead, love and pass along the hope of a greater future for us all.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Opal Gillaspia, brothers, Lawrence and Richard Gillaspia, and sisters, Pegg June Gillaspia and Dorothy Caruthers.

Survivors: Daughter, Quannah Diffee; daughter, Kim Tribble and husband, Wallace; daughter, Ramona Westerman and husband, Daniel; son, Randall Diffee; grandchilden, Brandy and Robert Brown, Sandy and Michael Farner, Daniel Jr. and Wimberly Westerman, and Ashley Westerman; great-grandchildren, Opal Brown, Tanner Brown, Makayla Farner, Molly Farner and Scarlet Westerman.
