Mary Terrell

Mary Elizabeth Terrell, 81, loving sister, aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on April 14, 2020, with family by her side.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date due to the current COVID-19 restrictions.

Mary was born on August 14, 1938 in Cleburne, Texas to Doris and Sophronia Terrell. She grew up in Fort Worth and graduated from Trimble Tech High School. She then went to work at Alcon Laboratories where she had a rewarding career for 23 years.

Mary had many hobbies during her life but her passion was bowling. She was active in the Texas Women’s Bowling Association where she held several positions including president of the Fort Worth Chapter. Mary was a long-term member of the Hermann Sons of Texas Lodge. She loved to dance, play card games and bingo.

Mary had a multitude of friends. Those who knew her knew she was fiercely loyal. She loved her family and friends and would do anything for you.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Doris Terrell; mother, Sophronia; sister, Juanita; and brother, David.

Survivors: She is survived by her sister, Louella Henry and husband, Wayne; brother, Mike Terrell and wife, Kim; nieces, Donna Jones and husband, Mike, Diana Smith and husband, Michael, and Aro Marie Terrell; great and great-great-nephews and nieces, Brandon Phillips and wife, Elizabeth, Stephen George, Jordan and Jake Jones, and Henry, Ella and Madelyn Phillips.
