Lila Harper

Lila Jean Greenawalt Harper, 66, passed away Feb. 19, 2020.

Funeral service: 9:00 a.m., Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook, Texas 76126. Interment: 11:30 a.m., Thursday at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Cemetery, Dallas, Texas 75211.

Lila Harper was born Sept. 30, 1953 in Kittanning, Penn. to Edward and Muriel Greenawalt. She served in the U.S. Navy from 1972-1979, and was honorably discharged as a hospital corpsman, 2nd class. Lila graduated college as an LVN and worked as an advocate and caregiver to the sick and needy up until her natural death. She was so proud to witness and share in the birth of her first grandson on February 17th.

Lila was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Nile; sisters, Helen and Sandy; and in-laws, Clyde, Ruth and David Harper.

Survivors: Loving daughter, Jennifer Ruth Harper Reinhard and her husband, Jeffrey; new grandson, Jeffrey Scott Reinhard, Esquire; and numerous loving family members, friends, and coworkers.
