Jeanette Johnson

Jeanette Johnson, 74, of Benbrook, passed away April 28, 2017 with her family members at her side, and is finally free from cancer and achieved the ultimate goal, to be with the Lord.
Graveside service: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook.

Jeanette, the oldest of eight children, was born in Best, Texas on March 2, 1943. She went to Whiteface High School where she met Paul. They were married on Sept. 10, 1959 in San Francisco, Calif. by a federal judge and again two years later in Beeville, Texas in a church.
Jeanette worked as a bookkeeper office manager at several auto dealerships, Doran Chevrolet in Dallas, Sewell Village in Dallas, and then became office manager for A.T. Lowery Toyota until 1983. She then joined with her husband to manage their insurance agency until 2008 when they retired from Farmers Insurance. However, Paul continues to work to this date as an independent agent where Jeanette would come and help from time to time. She enjoyed camping when her children were young. She was an accomplished artist painting with International Decorative Painters, Bluebonnet Chapter of the Society of Decorative Painters, gourdes and tole painting. She enjoyed painting in oils, acrylic, and water colors and also liked using pastel chalks.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents,, Henry and Bernice Russell, sister, Lavern "Tootsie", and brother, Tommy.
Survivors: Loving husband of 57 years and 7 months, Paul Johnson; three children, Dewayne Johnson (Teresa) of Fort Worth, daughter, Kim Davis (Wayne) of Athens, Greece, and daughter, Lisa Brandenburg (Terry) of Weatherford; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren; Jennifer Davis Saldivar (JR "Wedo") and children, Ian and Cy; Amanda Johnson Crummey (Cliff) and children, Zeke and Xander; Joshua Parton (Devon) and children, Kanton, Tayte and Graham; Russell Davis (Darla) and child, Harper Mae; twins, Cory Johnson and Jared Johnson; Aaron Davis (Heather Dugan) and child Brinley; Jessica Johnson and child Annabelle; siblings, Jimmy, Treba, Mary "ZaZa", Marie and Debbie; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
