Janera “Jan” Rose Hussong, 81, passed away June 30, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Inurnment: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
Janera was born in Dallas, Texas on March 22, 1940, to Jack Lenhart and Dorothy May Goodrich Lenhart. The family moved to Waxahachie where she went to grade school. They moved back to Dallas where she attended Rusk Junior High. The family then moved to Richardson where Jan attended and graduated from Richardson High School. While her husband Sam served 21 years in the military, Jan had the opportunity to visit many countries. She lived in Germany, England, Turkey, and Japan, serving along her husband’s side. Jan was a loving Christian wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and an all-around Christian woman.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter, Tory Reene Hussong.
Survivors: Her loving husband of 63 years, Sammy Hussong; sons, Kyle Hussong and Kenneth Hussong; daughter, Christina Hussong; sister, Jackie Harder; five grandchildren, Kenna, Jessica, Justin, Josh, and Brendon; and five great-grandchildren.
