James David “Dave” Barker, Jr., came to the end of his adventure, here on Earth, to begin a new one with his Lord, Jesus Christ on June 24, 2021.
Funeral: 5:30 p.m., Thursday, July 8th at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook, Texas 76126. Burial: 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 9th at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas. Open visitation: 10:00 a.m. to service time, 5:30 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
Dave was born August 11, 1972, in Seattle, Washington to James David Barker, Sr., and Linda Lou Cartwright Barker. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during Operation Desert Storm. Dave became a truck driver for many years and was still working at the time of his passing. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting, tormenting his nieces, and WWII Reenactment. Dave will be missed and not forgotten.
Dave was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Lowrance, and grandfather, Charlie Fitzgerald.
Survivors: He is survived by his sister, Anessa Pryor and her husband, David; dad, Rickey Lowrance and his wife, Alice; grandmother, Darlene Fitzgerald; aunt, Tanya Fitzgerald; uncle, Terry Lowrance; nieces, Jennifer Welty, Eva Dye, Hannah Pryor, and Lucy Pryor; and numerous friends and associates.
