James "Jim" D. Grubb, 80, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 in Fort Worth.
Celebration of Jim's Life: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook. Visitation: 6 to 8:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park, Fort Worth.
Jim was born Oct. 22, 1936 in Knoxville, Tenn., to Garland and Eva Grubb. He married Wilma Jean Grubb on Aug. 3, 1955 and they had four children. Jim was a retired TSGT with the Air Force and was an active member of American Legion Post 297 and the VFW. In 1972 Jim opened his own real estate broker firm in Benbrook. He loved to travel.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Wilma Grubb, daughter, Charlamayne R. Grubb and sister, Juanita Chittum.
Survivors: Daughter, Kimberlynn Crane and husband, David of Fort Worth; son, Tim Grubb Sr. of Benbrook; son, Jimmy Don Grubb of Benbrook; grandchildren, Heather Faaborg and husband, Jared, Jennifer Starzyk and husband, Alex, Jeffery Crane, Timothy Grubb Jr. and wife, Casey, and Jacob Grubb and wife, Sarah; great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Kaylie Faaborg, Rachel Starzyk, and Aiden Grubb; and many friends.
