Harriet Bertelsen

Harriet E. Bertelsen, 78, passed away October 27, 2018 in Fort Worth, after a struggle with cancer.
Visitation: 4-6:00 p.m., Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook, Texas 76126. A second visitation will take place at a later date at Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home in Parker, South Dakota, followed by interment in Hillcrest Cemetery in Irene, South Dakota.
Harriet was born September 26, 1940 to Harvey and Viola Bertelsen of Irene, South Dakota. She graduated from Irene High School in 1957. After attending Nettelton College she worked for Champlin / Union Pacific until her retirement. Harriet volunteered at the Casa Manana Theater in Fort Worth, Texas and taught movie classes at two colleges in Fort Worth, Texas.
Harriet was preceded in death by her parents, and a niece, Rebecca Bertelsen.
Survivors: She is survived by her sisters, Gwen Hansen and husband, Jim, and Beverly Bertelsen; brother, Paul Bertelsen and wife, Bonnie; and nephew, Brian Hansen and wife, Laura.
