Governor Richard Grimes, 66, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021, in Fort Worth.

Graveside Service: 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Dallas, Texas 75211.

Governor was born September 30, 1954, in Durant, Oklahoma to James Robert Grimes and Ruby Naomi Carter Grimes.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Ray Grimes.

Survivors: Daughter, Octavia Daniels; sister, Betty Whitton and husband, Wayne; brother, Jim Grimes and wife, Sharron; brother, Ted Grimes and wife, Mary; and grandchildren, Bryane Daniels, Hayden Daniels, Lynden Daniels, and Daphyne Daniels.
