Everett Preston Everitt III

Everett Preston Everitt III “Skeeter”, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2024 at the age of 60. He was born September 29, 1963, in Amarillo, Texas.

If you ever wanted the definition of “joyful”, it would translate “Skeeter”. He knew everyone around him by name, knew their birthday, or how many children they had. And if they were going to have a baby, he wanted to get the gift or card personally.

Skeeter LOVED music – all kinds. He loved movies and reruns of old TV sitcoms. He would call to tell you what the latest developments were on Little House on The Prairie.

Sensitive, peace loving, and caring. The world is a little less quiet without him. For all that knew him they would say the same, he loved to pray, he loved Jesus, and we know where he is, and we miss him greatly!

His survivors are his father, Everett P. Everitt Jr. and wife, Dianne; mother, Edith Wynell Horn and husband, Darryl; sister, Kim D. Mooney; nephew, Charles B. Mooney; uncle, Eugene Everitt and wife, Cathy; other extended family members; and friends.

Funeral service: 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 28th at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook, Texas 76126. Visitation: 1-2:00 p.m., Wednesday prior to his funeral service. His burial will take place later at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
