Evelyn Hodgdon

Evelyn Ruth Hodgdon, 89, went to be with the Lord on January 5, 2018, at her home with family and friends by her side.
Funeral service: 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 12, 2018 at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook 76126. Visitation: 6-8:00 p.m., Thursday. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park, 3100 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth 76107.
Evelyn was born July 18, 1928 in Fort Worth and was a 1945 graduate of Arlington Heights High School. She spent many years caring for her husband of 52 years, John, with an endless amount of love. She also cared for many foster children and grandchildren, with a never ending love.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, John Hodgdon, who passed away in 2004; and her parents, D.M. and Lee Ella Fairless of Fort Worth.
Survivors: Son, James Hodgdon of Fort Worth; son, David Hodgdon, and fiancee, Rhonda Smith of Fort Worth; and too many foster families and friends to name.
