Ernestina “Tina” Zamora Dykan age 79 passed away peacefully on Friday, May 29th surrounded by her family.
Tina was born in Harlingen, Texas on November 11, 1935 to Rufino and Eulalia Escamilla Zamora. She married Bohdan “Don” Dykan. A proud military wife, she resided in several states as well as Germany, and she always made the most of their many Air Force assignments.
When Don retired from the military they made their home in Benbrook, Texas and after Don’s death she devoted her time to her grandchildren and the rest of her family.
Tina is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her siblings Rufino Zamora Jr., Pedro Zamora, Elias Jesus Zamora, Pablo Zamora, Irene Zamora and Evangelina Zamora.
She is survived by her siblings Beto Zamora, Baldo Zamora, Juan Zamora, Lupe “Chipper” Zamora, Teresa Zamora and Julie Zamora; children Yvonne Ramirez (Jorge), Edward (fiancée Janet), Paul (Amanda); grandchildren Elizabeth, Charles, Nicholas and Benjamin; great-grandchildren Maddie and Jacob, and many nephews and nieces.
A Ceremony of Life will take place on Wednesday, June 3rd, at 6:30 at Marquis at Magnolia, 1227 W. Magnolia, Ft. Worth, TX 76104
An additional memorial will be held in Harlingen, Texas later in the year.
