Dorothy Rutzke Bowen, 67, of Benbrook, Texas passed away on March 11, 2018 after a long battle with cancer.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook, Texas 76126. Burial: Benbrook Cemetery. Visitation: 5-7:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.

Dorothy was born on October 26, 1950 in Homestead, Florida to her parents, Walter Carl Rutzke and Betty Simmons Rutzke.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, and the love of her life, James Lynn Bowen.

Survivors include daughter, Felicia and her husband, Jim B. Barker of Colleyville, Texas; son, Ramey and his wife, Lacy Bowen of Weatherford, Texas; daughter, Kari and her husband, Shea Connelly of Benbrook, Texas; grandchildren, Ansley, Danielle and Simone Barker, Aiden and Evan Connelly, and Jack and James Bowen; great-grandchildren, Brycelynn and Graham; sisters, Linda Rutzke Arve and her husband, Hal Arve, and Sandra Rutzke Rodney and her husband, Nick Rodney of Homestead, Florida; dear friend, Steve Bursey; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook, Texas 76126. Burial: Benbrook Cemetery. Visitation: 5-7:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
