Fort Worth

Dorothea “Thea” Alana Clio De Lancey, 70, of Fort Worth, passed away on November 21, 2022 after a brief illness. Thea was born in Wichita, Kansas and made Texas her home in 1979. She will remain in our hearts as a most beloved and memorable family member and friend – a talented artist with a delightful sense of humor, endless wisdom and an unconditional love for people and pets.

Thea’s beautiful smile, along with her confidence and friendly nature, welcomed new friends whenever she was out-and-about. Her enthusiasm and positive attitude were contagious and brightened many days. Thea’s unique style made her all the more memorable. She always dressed and accessorized with her very own artistic flair and never left the house without sporting a coordinating hat.

We will cherish Thea’s beautiful art creations.  Her natural talent shines through in her paintings, sketches, jewelry designs and writing. Thea held a lifelong passion for the Arts and considered it a privilege to be a patron to many organizations.  It was her great pleasure to visit art venues, stage performances, and craft shows with family and friends.

A career in the financial field was a perfect fit for Thea. She was energized by working with clients and handling a wide variety of tasks each day.

In April 2000, Thea married her partner and best friend, Vincent Wright. To Vincent, Thea was always his dear “Clio.” The two were great companions and a perfect intellectual match. They shared a passion for so many things, especially their pets, books, coffee, movies, PBS and British TV.

Thea was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Vincent Wright; her parents, Joseph and Agnes Frangenberg; and her brother, Anthony Frangenberg.

Survivors include Thea’s sister, Emma Chase; her five Frangenberg brothers and their families: Joseph (Chris, Eva, Dakota, Sean, Abbie, Ellie Jo); Andrew (Maxine, Jonathan, Faith, Brittney); Raymond (Kim, Kaitlyn, Dillon, Joe, Lauren, Parker); Matthew (Shannon, Alex, Chloe, Sophia, Olivia); Philip (Sydney, Sophi, Sarah, Patrick, Cora); dearest friends, Barbara and Cynthia; and numerous cousins spread far and wide.

Our darling Thea, you are unforgettable and always loved.  Rest in peace, dearest lady.

A celebration of her life service with family and close friends is planned for the Spring of 2023 in Wichita, Kansas.
