Clyde Pittman

Clyde Donald “Don” Pittman passed away on April 19, 2023. He died peacefully in his home very near where he was born 92 years ago.

Don was born the second son to Clyde and Ruth Pittman in Everman, Texas. He attended all 12 years at Everman School graduating in 1950. He joined the Air Force in 1951. In 1952 he married his true love Sylvia Leamon. He became a firefighter in 1956 retiring in 1989 as a captain. Don was a lifelong member of Everman Church of Christ and served as elder.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Pittman, parents, Clyde and Ruth Pittman, brother, Weldon Pittman, sister, Margarette Man, and great-grandson, Jac Sliger.

Don is survived by daughter, Donna Harrison; son, Robert Pittman; daughter, Sherra Hawpe (Bill); brother, Leonard Pittman (Carol); six grandchildren, Gary Adams, Stefanie Sliger (Ben), Hayley Chambers (John), Aaron Flannery, Milo Harrison (Rachel), and Rachel Pittman; seven great-grandchildren, Anthony, Jordan, Mason, Avery, Aleah, Tad, and Jem; numerous nieces and nephews, and a large loving extended family and friends of Leamons and Pittmans.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations to Foster’s Home for Children.

Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Everman Church of Christ with services beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial immediately following at Everman Cemetery.
