It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony Rayy Moreno, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, who left this world on December 23, 2024, at the age of 44. Born in Fort Worth, Texas, on August 16, 1980, Anthony spent his life surrounded by love, laughter, and the unwavering support of family and friends.
Anthony was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Julie Moreno, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage since July 1, 2013. The bond they shared was a testament to the love they cultivated together, a warmth that enveloped their family and friends alike. Together, they raised three wonderful children: Terry Maldonado, Tony and Laurel Moreno. Anthony was the epitome of a dedicated father, always present in his children's lives, supporting their dreams, and nurturing their passions with unconditional love.
A proud son of Reynaldo and Olga Moreno, Anthony was also a cherished brother to Rey Moreno and wife Nina, Michael Moreno and wife Maireli Garcia, Estee Lopez and husband Jerry Lopez, Vanessa Williams and husband Alfonso Williams, and Alycya Moreno. He is preceded in death by his loving mother-in-law, Sandy “Honey” Kosanovich. He leaves behind his father-in-law, Louis Kosanovich Sr., and brother-in-law, Louis Kosanovich Jr., as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, each of whom will carry a piece of his spirit in their hearts.
Professionally, Anthony was a respected businessman in the community, working with his partner Michael Haefner at Freedom Remodeling and Roofing. His work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident in everything he did, but it was his infectious laughter and genuine kindness that truly defined him.
A graduate who attended the University of Texas at Arlington, Anthony had a passion for knowledge and cherished education, which he instilled in his children. He was a true sports enthusiast, with a particular love for basketball and football, and he enjoyed coaching youth teams, sharing his love for the game with the next generation. His deep appreciation for comic books brought joy not only to him but also to his wife and children, as they bonded over the stories and characters that sparked their imaginations.
Those who knew Anthony will remember him as a man full of laughter and an immense love for his family. He had an uncanny ability to bring people together, to lift spirits, and create memories that will last a lifetime. His presence was a gift to all who encountered him, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.
The family invites all who knew and loved Anthony to celebrate his life at a visitation on Sunday, December 29,2024 from 2-4 PM and a funeral service to be held on December 30, 2024, from 1-3 PM both at Winscott Funeral Home in Benbrook. As we gather to honor Anthony’s memory, let us remember the joy he brought into our lives and cherish the moments we shared with him.
Anthony Rayy Moreno will forever be remembered for his warmth, laughter, and the love he shared with all of us. Rest in peace, dear Anthony; you will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
