Aleta Hickey

Aleta Faye Hickey, 70, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away April 20, 2016.
Memorial visitation: 3 to 4:00 p.m., Monday at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook.
Mrs. Hickey was born Sept. 30, 1945 to Henry and Doris Green. She was a lifelong resident of Benbrook where she attended Benbrook Elementary and Monnig middle schools. She met her husband, James when she was just 15 and they married after a short courtship. Together they had two daughters and they enjoyed a long, happy marriage.
Faye enjoyed several different jobs outside the home. She loved working with her hands, making boots for Justin Boot Company, building cabinets at A&C Cabinets or building model planes at Lockheed. She loved her work at Lockheed and loved "the boys" she worked with. She took care of them and they protected her.
She enjoyed gardening, going to Winstar and playing Texas Hold-Em. If you played poker with her, sooner or later you would surely get "Fayed".
Survivors: Loving husband of 55 years, James Hickey; daughters, Inez Hickey and Cathy Torsiello and husband, Jeff; grandchildren, Emily, Kylea, and Tanner; sisters, Virginia Barnett and husband Jack, Lovell Hardy, and June Ashley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
